On December 10, at the 8:30 and 10:55 Services, the combined choirs of Main Street will present
Sing We Now of Christmas, a service of Christmas carols and tunes from France! Some of these carols include Angels We Have Heard on High; Bring a Torch, Jeannette, Isabella; People Look East; Sing We Now of Christmas and others. We will also hear Christmas classics like O Holy Night and two choruses from the Saint-Saëns Christmas Oratorio. All the anthems, choruses, and hymns hail from French origins.
The morning features Main Street’s combined choirs, a chamber orchestra, organ, and piano.
In addition, throughout Advent and Christmas, service music will highlight Christmas carols
from around the world. This reminds us that we celebrate the birth of Christ with believers on
every continent; and, as Christians we are called to share the good news of Jesus Christ with
neighbors near and far. Main Street Church has postcards available for you to invite friends,
family, and neighbors to come worship with us here at Main Street during this beautiful season
and beyond!
