Sarah is native of North Carolina having been born in Asheville, NC. She graduated from Appalachian State University in 2014, and she then attended and graduated from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in 2017.
While attending seminary, she met and married her husband, Shane, who is also a minister. She was ordained as an Elder in 2019 in the Florida conference. She and her husband served in various capacities in Florida, but in 2020, they moved to North Carolina. She and Shane are the parents of two daughters, Abigal, born in 2020 and Ellie, born 2023. Sarah is an avid runner, but she needs to be with two young daughters.
