In the spirit of new beginnings our Director of Music Ministries, Jill Gardner, has chosen to highlight the fourth Sunday of Advent annually as our Christmas Cantata Sunday. The service this year will be a celebrated Festival of Lessons and Carols which will take place on Sunday, December 21 at 10:30am in the Sanctuary as one combined service for our whole congregation to attend.
Our Adult Choir Ministry is hard at work preparing the beautiful music of English composer, John Rutter, whose anthems and hymn settings will be at the heart of our Lessons and Carols Service this year.
Accompanied by a 20-piece orchestra and led by an intergenerational array of narrators, this service of Ancient Word from the Ancient of Days will deeply touch and inspire our hearts as we contemplate anew the story of EMMANUEL coming to earth to save and encourage our souls. Our entire congregation will also have the opportunity to join voices together in singing some of the most beloved Christmas Carols of all time! It is the hope of our Pastors, Jill and all those presenting this program to Main Street that you will be encouraged in your faith as you hear again through the blessed gift of MUSIC the life-changing story of GOD descending to us!
