The Yadkin Valley District (our district) of the UMC is supporting Forsyth County Habitat for Humanity this year and encouraging all of us to participate (ages 18 and older or 16-17 years with a guardian). Main Street offers two ways for you to do so:
- Go with a group–Chuck Dagenhart is planning to have a “full” 10-member Main Street Methodist team participate on Saturday August 1. Sign-up at mainstreetumc.org and Chuck will send you additional information.
- As an individual–you can sign up for ANY Monday to Thursday and Saturday. Hours are 8 to 3 with a lunch break. Just go online to sign up at https://habitatforsyth.org/volunteer/. There are 10 participant slots each day. Be sure to say you’re from Main Street when you sign up!
You do not have to be a skilled housebuilder to participate. You may learn new skills!
