Volunteer Appreciation Sunday

Volunteer Appreciation Sunday

Have you ever:
– Served on a church committee?
– Helped maintain our facilities with repairs, decorated for holidays, shoveled mulch, set out
luminaries, helped with the pumpkin patch?
– Led a Sunday School class (adult or children), played with a child in the nursery,
chaperoned a youth group trip, helped with Confirmation class?
– Worked on a mission team, assisted with Bethany Café, donated items for Crisis Control,
collected items for donation drives?
– Organized a group/activity/program?
– Helped our worship services by serving as an usher, sound tech, scripture reader,
Communion Assistant, greeter, singer, musician, acolyte, crucifer?
– Shared your testimony or a story of faith for Oasis, Men’s breakfast, or other group?
– Participated in Mission and Service activities of the United Methodist Men and United
Women of Faith?
– Volunteered in the church office, prepared snacks for a group, been a member of the Altar
Guild, served as a Stephen Minister, welcomed a visitor, sent cards of encouragement,
provided support for a grieving family?
– Prayed for someone?
– And more? All of us have helped our church, in some way, at some point!
Main Street’s strength is in its devoted members and friends who give of their
time and energy to make us BETTER TOGETHER! On Sunday, October 9,
EVERYONE is invited to pick up a Volunteer Appreciation treat during coffee
time in the Commons between the services. We are grateful to each of you for
your willing hearts and hands—THANK YOU!
